Any daycare in Wanganui that supports cloth?

Postby FluffyMail » Thu Jan 11, 2007 2:57 pm

Hiya

I have a customer that is going to use part-time cloth, not intending to go full time as plans on returning to work at the end of the year, and under the impression cloth is not accepted in daycare.

I have been away from Wanganui 10 years now so am not up with the play on daycare centres there - does anyone know if cloth is accepted anywhere there?

My daughter and son were at the one in the hospital grounds for a week, they accepted cloth, but tended to want to soak them in napisan... had to be told not to but were fine with cloth in general, even pins.

Thought I'd update this thread - Bright Beginnings do, they have a few cloth children there already. You supply your own bucket or bag, take it home at end of day.

Unsure of other centres, I think there is about 6 others in town.

Been a while since anyone has posted in this thread but another update.

Happy Days accepts cloth nappies ... yay

Have to provide own bucket and have to take it home at the end of each day but that is not a biggie

Most of them are accepting of cloth. Bright Beginnings have a few children in cloth full time. Supply your own bucket and it is fine. Staff are quite clued up on it too.
