Favourite NZ-made pocket nappy?

Post by alicia » Wed May 02, 2007 11:00 pm

Just noticing all these made in the US nappies as people's favourites but is there a NZ-made nappy that people love?

I quite like Joel-eze pockets - and they are DHs favourites :)

Rosies - which is now Karma Kidz - Ive only tried the PUL pockets, but they are great.

Have to admit that I havent tried a lot of new stuff lately :( Blow these kids learning to use a toilet!

They are my best pockets for sure. Better than my overseas made ones.
Really good quality fabric, and the stitching and elastic are still all in top nick even after loads of thrashing through hot washes and the dryer. The elastic is giving out on my overseas made ones. Threadjack - I am going to need to replace the elastic on these pockets very soon, and the leg elastic is easy, but I am really not sure about the elastic on the pocket opening at the back as it is all enclosed in casings. :-k  :smt100

My newest rave is Wigglebums. We have one (yay for the Aria auction :D ) and I love love it. They sizes seem to fit a large range due to the crossover, I put Robert in the large overnight stuffed full and no leaks at all, even with 3 night feeds (and the nappy really was a bit big)

They are really well made and so many lovely prints to choose from :D

Another one I really liked was Snugglebumz (mumto3 I think she is on here?) Tried one in a hirekit and it was fab. The prices are really reasonable as well.

I don't have/haven't had many but I do like my Wigglebums. Well made and great fit :)

ETA: Also my Ecobubs Wool pockets, I won't use anything else at night - they rock!

Joeleze were the nappies that converted me!

My friend used them and gave me one for Isaac when he was born. So if it weren't for Joeleze I would probably still be using disposables!

They are really well made - so much so that I became addicted to MCN!

Smart -E-pants and Ecobubs are my current faves, but I am sure once I start to make my own they will become my favourites. There is nothing better than making your own.

yep, my own made nappies are my fave

But, I like Joel-eze and Eco Bubs too.
I'm not sure that I've tried any other NZ WAHM made ones? (I only use pockets so can't comment on fitteds)

  I only have one NZ made pocket

A YoYo nappy - but it was excellent (Zoe is too big for it now). Has gussets which are great for holding in the newborn poop!

I have heard wonderful things about the Ecobubs Wool Pockets (I *will* get one soon!), and the Wigglebums pocket nappies :D

While I like a number of NZ made pocket nape (Ecobubs Wool, Wigglebums, Cheek Boutique etc) my fav has to be Joel-eze. This is simply because they have always fitted. The others come and go in their fit, and when they do fit, they are great. Joel-eze always seem to fit really well. :D

I love Joel-eze, they were a favourite through the bulk of our cloth nappying years with two in nappies for 2 years.

I love both the fleece and PUL ones - I've only had velcro ones though so can't comment on the fit with snaps. I do have one small waiting here for the next bubba so will get to try them out with snaps.

Another WAHM who I have discovered thanks to a friend who just raves about her is Baby Harmony. I got some NB ones for my new bubba/my NB hire kits and they are beautifully made. I can't wait to try them out on my NB.
