Zappy nappies

I think I would give these a 3. I love the idea that they are birth to toilet trained, and I love the prints and colours. I find tho that they are not absorbant enough for my boy but if I put in all the extras he needs, the edges don't sit on his thighs. I don't actually think they were designed for boys cause in the front of the main body of the nappy (ie not the flappy bit) the stuffing doesn't come up high enough so my boy wees straight into 2 layers of flannel, which is nothing really (the stuffing should come right up to where the velcro is sewn onto).
They are very easy to put on, and very trim and slim between the legs, and they dry fantastically fast!

My main supply of nappies are Zappy Nappies!

I give them a 5.

Ruby has chubby thighs and the Zappies accomodate well for this. No rubbing at all.

The prints are absolutely gorgeous! I love all the girlie ones! It's a shame to have to cover them up!

They dry very fast.

Fit from newborn to training. You can even buy a extra piece to make the waist bigger if needed.

I give the zappy's a 3.75.

They work really well on my 2 month old if I use a whisper wrap. However, they don't seem to fit as nicely on my 17 mth old but they do the trick.
Love the prints!

i'd give these a 3 too. like razzamatazz explained, i don't find them very absorbent for my boy. i also find the nappy is a bit 'hi cut' and it's hard to get a snug fit around the waist and thighs without leaving marks.
cute designs
quick to dry
affordable

I am considering Zappies at the moment. Is Ruby crawling? does it make a difference to how the Zappies work?

They do sound nice and trim

I really like Emily's Zappy Nappy.

It fits Emily's 5 month 7kg frame really well. She can easily roll over while wearing it (isn't quite at the crawling stage yet - but is trying hard). Despite Emily being at the beginning of the one-size, it's not bulky on her.

Hubby really likes using it (likes the cross-over arms - he finds them easier to use than the disposable-type sides). In fact, I am told I have to use another nappy so he can use it when he does a change!

It lasts well at night with a bit of boosting. And a very cute "Sweet Dreams" print - it's a shame to have to cover it (but the weather is just too poor here).

And the one-size sizing - Hubby's favourite feature. We consider this a really good value nappy. Overall - cute, easy to use, good value for money, one-size, relatively quick drying. We would give it a 5.

As for the cover (3mths to trainer) - initially I though that it looked a bit boring. But, after trying it over all sorts of slim and bulky nappies, I have decided that it is fantastic because of its sizing range, making it a very cost-effective versatile cover.

Ruby is 10 months. Although she isn't 'hands and knees' crawling, she gets around her own way. Her Zappy Nappy in no way constricts her movements.

:) I like these nappies. I went and bought some. The colours and prints are so cute.
I agree that they aren't very absorbant at times, but with boosting they are fine. Even for nights.
I like the trimness and the fit. They look so comfy.

I am not so sure about the overpants.

I agree with all above, not very absorbant, but cute designs (then again they have to have an overnappy so whats the point), dry super fast, easy to use and the one size feature is great. My boy has very chunky thighs and most wrap type nappies and covers are far too tight on the legs if they are pulled in to fit at the waist (have to be really flappy at the waist to give his legs enough room, if that makes sense). However the zappies have always been a great, comfy fit on him from very small till still now at 11kg, 14 months, size 2 clothes.

I like the prints and fit of these too, agree that it ain't enough absorbency unless you boost it up (I find FB insert a great booster for these). Haven't got the overpants/covers, so no comment there. I am not a sewer, but I have heard that these nappies doesn't look very well made, but maybe that's because we are spoilt with the NZ made nappies - go all you NZ WAHMs!

Oh, I do have one gripe - Zappy Nappy isn't fleecelined, and because I always has m/fleece against Samuel's bot, I find it fiddly to have to use a separate m/fleece liner, especially when Samuel is not a compliant baby when it comes to nappy changing - he doesn't like to be on his back.

Agreed the prints are cute.
Also with a booster they have good absorbancy and dry in reasonable time.
What I don't like so much is the velcro. It is quite small and narrow and I seem to get a lot of rubbish in it in the wash. So they don't stick so well anymore, which is really annoying.

My Zappy nappy always comes out way of the wash way whiter than all my other nappies. I bought it used and have been using it on and off since Z was born and its till going strong. I love it :)
