I love these as covers over prefolds. But they are a bit bulky over fitted nappies, well in my opinion. Love the cute prints as well. So funky!!! Good fit, haven't had any issues.

I should really add my 2 cents worth here as I have used the fleece covers and the nix ultra. The covers are great but I agree can be a little bulky with too much padding (wear baggier pants!) a standard flat is just right though.
5/5 absorbancy is great, I can't wait to get my next order soon :-)

I'm looking at getting a cover - still haven't decided on an ultra or fleece cover, how are they over summer?? Do they get too hot (being fleece)?

I know it's been ages since your post, but I might respond anyway. :D I had my baby in fleece lined pockets and Nix-Napz/Nix-Ultras last summer and overheating never appeared to be a problem for DD. She pretty much lived in her nappy and a onesie/bodysuit - so cute! We'll use the same type of products for this summer too. :smt023 Maybe you could email the manufacturer directly regarding your concerns??

Anyway, as far as my review of Nix-Napz go, I love them! I have size Medium and use pad-folded premium prefolds - they last about 2 hours on my 17 month old, 12 kg DD. I do have to change DD regularly with these as I find they are not as reliable as the Nix-Ultras. Nix-Napz fit beautifully (Nikki added velcro to one of the tabs again so I can cross them over) and are oh-so-soft and snuggly. I LOVE the funky printed polar fleece - we have cheeky monkey and cow print. Fantastic product and wonderful service - I highly recommend NIX-KIDZ!!

You might need to boost the nappy to give it a bit more absorbency.

Hi "laurenmc"

Same question as the other ladies, are the covers 2 layers of fleece or do they have PUL in them?

The fleece ones are water resistant not waterproof, what do to the fleece ones is put them in a bucket of water with some fabric softener and let them soak for a few hours, then just rinse and dry as normal. Once you have done this I recommend you use fabric softener once a week when washing them. But do make sure that when you use the softener for the covers not to wash you nappies boosters etc with them as it will hinder the absorbtion level of nappies and boosters.

You should be able to go 3-4 hrs before needing to change.

Hope that all makes sense?

If you have any questions at all please feel free to send me an email.

Although the Nix-Naps (covers made from only 2 layers fleece that dont! contain any PUL, not to be confused with my Nix-Ultra that does contain PUL) are now a deleted line I am more than happy to help/answer questions about them.

Thanks,

Nikki

Hi Nikki,
The covers are the ones with PUL in them. I have just purchased some hemp flats from you via trademe, so I will give them a go and see if that helps the problem?
