Cheeky wipes

Bought some of these from Commonsense Organics in Wellington.

They come in a resealable plastic bin, with a little vial of teatree oil.

Up until now, I've been using chux multicloths for wipes, with success. I was interested in cheeky wipes as I thought they might be a bit more robust than the chux, which eventually hole, tear, get smaller and smaller and then need replacing!

So far I've used the cheeky wipes for poo bums and pee bums. They've had a few washes, have hung out on the line and been through the dryer. No problems at all, and the comfort factor seems fine.

They will need to last 5 times as long as a packet of chux for me to break even (not including the bucket and teatree oil). I expect they will, but we will have to wait and see.

The bucket is quite interesting - could be used for soaking or dry pailing mama cloth, or even for ECing infants when out and about as the lid seals very firmly shut!

They sound really good.
I have been sewing my own wipes from flannel - 2 layers. It is so nice and soft!! (I used chux in the beginning too)

I wet them with water in a container, and then I have made a wipes solution by dissolving baby lotion in warm water. That is in a squirty bottle next to the change table.
It means I can wipe a face/nose first and then squirt the stuff on for the bottom.

I like using these wipes much better than the disposable ones

Oh I would have to say that these wipes have been great. My wee girl is 7 weeks now and these have been fantastic from day 1. They wash up really well and I only ever need one per change.
The bucket is handy and the tea tree oil has been great to use in with my nappies.
Must also add that they arrived really promptly too. Definately worth the money and I think it would make a different baby present for anyone -even non cloth nappy users!!!

I've been using these ones also and we've found them great!! They are lasting well...I generally only need one wipe per change, the pail is really handy and they dry quickly.

Big thumbs up from me! :D
