In Chch we only have funding for the under 25's.

We have a lot of teen mums coming which is great to see them be such amazing mums and breastfeed/partially feed/get lots of info on how to feed etc.
Darn EQ's keep us on our feet though!

The group down in CHCH is fabulous - you all did such a fab job SophieZippo!

The Auckland one is slow going... not sure if we have the day right yet (we do Saturdays)... and Auckland is just so BIIIIG! We'll persevere though as I think it's awesome :)

Is the one in CHCH usually on a week day?

I'm going to work on promo material this week and get it put up around health clinics/libraries etc in the area.

I'd love the idea of this group. I'm no longer a "young parent" but I was with DS1 & DS2. BF'ing when young is tough--particularly as a teen, along with all the other "stuff" that one has to deal with, but it's an experience I wouldn't trade and I'm glad we were able to make it work. Thank God for my aunt (BF six children of her own), who in the hospital saw me trying to figure out how to latch DS1 and went, "here, can I hold your boob and show you how to do it?"

DS3--Little comedian--2.5 years

Is this getting promo'd through the schools (eg: Glenfield college were just in the local paper about supporting teen parents to stay at school) or through plunket (our PC is about to do a promo at the local young mums group)

I have limited transport but would be willing to pop into a couple of local schools or to the local group if needed... I was almost 22 when my oldest was born but have a lot of compassion for how awkward it must be.

We're working on promotion... sloooooowly getting the word out. I should hopefully have a flyer ready in the next couple of weeks now that we've worked out a day to stick with. Thanks so much for the offer - even if I could recruit you to chuck one up in a medical centre or the plunket rooms if you ever visit either of those?

I think the big thing at the moment is transport... Auckland is so massive that it's hard for people to get to an event held in one place. We'll figure something out though.

Thanks to you all for your support :D
