AI2 insert attachment

Post by drlauren » Wed Jan 18, 2012 2:34 pm

I've decided i will make a few NB AI2 nappies for the next baby, just for a bit of variety, and am trying to figure out the insert bit

I'll be making trifolds and would prefer the middle section to be the bit against baby, so not as many overlocking threads to rub.

If i do this should i be putting the attachment snaps in one of the side 1/3'rds, and would this hold it in OK?
Or should i be putting the snaps in the middle section too, hidden between the layers then making it longer in this bit so it still sits flat IYGWIM?

Or should i just be sticking with snaps in the middle section then sides folded in on top and not worrying about threads rubbing or using woolly nylon?

I'd rather whatever is easiest as long as it works OK

Id do this and perhaps a bit of microfleece or something for strength, so the snaps dont tear the fabric over time.

I always put my snaps in the side third. :-) I've never had a problem. My inserts were a layer of bamboo, microfibre and then minky.

I've been putting the snaps on the side of my trifolds too, for the same reason, and haven't had any problems :)
