Absorbant layers for fitteds?

Post by UrsulaGiles » Tue Jul 10, 2012 4:46 pm

I am making a set of cloth nappies for some friends who're due in nov, they have decided the want fitted nappies and covers and dont want any extra bits so no snap in boosters. I'm a bit confused tho, I'm not sure how many layers of absorbancy to use and how to do them, my first thought is a layer of microfleece and a layer of bamboo velour as if I was making a pocket nappy with the velour instead of PUL and then a trifold of 2-3 layers of bamboo Baby terry (280 gsm) sewn in at the back of the nappy so it can be folded out for quick drying and tucked under the staydry layer for wearing if that makes sense?
will that be enough absorbancy and work like that or will it be a pain to put back together after washing?
