What to make with Royal Blue Sweatshirting?

What to make with Royal Blue Sweatshirting?

Postby Tentacles » Tue May 22, 2012 11:44 am

I grabbed a bag of fabric from the charity shop a few weeks back and I thought it was royal blue polar fleece and had the intention of making a jacket for DS to wear to walk to school. WHen I got home I realised it is actually sweatshirting :gaah: Now not sure what to do with it because I really don't think it would work at trackies for DS, it's a bit too much of a bright royal for that. So what else could I use it for, or failing that does anyone need royal blue sweatshirting?

i could be interested on it, if you wanna de-stash? how big is it? ill double check a pattern :) i have some grey and rainbow tiger stripe thats a bit too busy for an entire jacket, so blue would work well to tone down the body part lol.

otherwise could you do like an american high school type jacket? like this Image

how much is there? might make a nice blanket or winter duvet cover if you applique it?
Also if you do make a polarfleece you could use the sweatshirting as a lining. I've done that before and it makes it super warm. Navy and royal blue look lovely together.

Could you use it to make a pair of lined jeans? I've just made some for Tom with left over fleece and and old pair of DHs jeans and I've had to pry them off him today so they can be washed lol.
