Fitted sheets

Fitted sheets

Postby Tentacles » Thu Jul 19, 2012 9:17 pm

I've got some fitted sheets to fix he elastic in from daycare. What is the best kind of elastic to use lastin, braided or that swimwear elastic? Being at a daucare they will more than likely be put through the drier a lot so I want to know what will last the best really. Cheers.

i've been wondering the same thing, but I dont reckon lastin will go the distance, I'm thinking braided. Can you see whats already in there? I got some handed down from my sister and the elastic has gone, might see if they still work ok before I try replacing it.

round elastic breaks .....about the second time you use them :twitch: need to do a queen sized sheet - not looking forward to it ......flat elastics not cheap

There is a wholesale elastic place in Levin.

She sells loads and I use it a lot. Good quality, v cheap. I have the email if you want it.

I'd just use std braided or swimwear... be fine. Just zig zag it onto the corners, it doesn't even need to go all the way around.

Yes I was leaning towards braided. Will see how much each one takes and how much I have here. Is there a minimum order form the Levin place claire?

I don't know .. I just email her and ask for what I want .. I get large amounts though so have never asked if there was a minimum.. I think not cause she definitely sells small amounts on trade me.
