Operation renovate a dolls house - Pics!

Post by jobrush » Tue Jul 16, 2013 2:31 pm

After Breanna sprung on me about 6 weeks ago that she really wanted a dolls house for her birthday, I decided I had to do what I could to get her one, knowing that I'd always had in mind the sort she "needed". Of course we already had her birthday presents sorted (the lego set is now in the cupboard for Christmas) but I picked this up for $35 including the furniture on TM:

With some help from my sister (she made the bedding, flower pots and pictures on the walls), my Mum (curtains) and my stepdad (he did the wall removal and replacement) we've just spent 3 days renovating it. The look on my wee girls face this morning was priceless!

The inside we painted, and then I used scrapbooking paper to wallpaper the walls. I made the shutters on the outside with Balsa wood. The carpet was from some mats my sister had got from a carpet place.

Soooooo cute! Isn't it fun, I loved doing our one up. Hope she doesn't drive you batty like my wee Miss by moving all the furniture around LOL. Great job! 8-)
