Jewellery question - stretchy plastic stuff

Post by ClareBear » Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:15 pm

I'm trying to fix a bracelet made with that stretchy plastic thread stuff (no idea what its actually called!) but for the life of me I can't work out how to secure it - I've tried tying it in a really tight double knot but it just comes undone again as soon as it unstretches (not sure if that makes any sense!) I'm sure there's some way of getting this stuff to work without the beads falling off 5 seconds after re-threading them, can anyone enlighten me?

Not sure if you'll have enough length in the cord to try this?

Double knot it and dab a bit of super glue on the knot. I normally poke the knot inside one of the beads and fill it with glue.

I have plenty of cord so will give it a go - the question will be whether I'm capable of figuring out how to do it! If that fails, I'll try the superglue option.

Thanks :)
