Wipes Solution Recipe

Wipes Solution Recipe

This is the recipe I use for my wipes to make them like 'wet wipes'. I use 15cm x 25cm 2 layer flannelette and have around 25 in use.

Recipe -

In a storage box, an old ice cream container is cool, add 2 cups of water and 1 desert spoon of olive or almond oil, and 1 drop of teatree or eucaliptus oil. Be careful with essential oil for <6 month babies.

Swish all this around then add the wipe until they soak up all the liquid, wring out and chuck the excess liquid, keep the wipes in the box and they're ready to use.

Does anyone else have any good wipes options?

I know some people use a spray bottle, do you use just water?

I use a Huggies wipes container - its the perfect size and Ella cant get it open!

I put a few drops of lavender oil, plus a small squirt of her baby shampoo (about 1 teaspoon) then add water so the container is about 1/4 - 1/3 full, and swish it all together. Then dump in wipes, around 15 or so (whatever is clean), a mixture of old flannels, and 2 layer flannelette/other stuff (we have a variety!). I normally turn them over so the top ones get a chance to soak up some of the mixture too.

This usually lasts 4-5 days or more.
