WOW that looks fantastic onabear. Just go for it and see what you get.

Mine is not as great as I had hoped. I'm hoping by choosing my border fabric carefully I can rescue it. :(

Now I'm finding something for the inner. I was in spotlight and they had cotton/poly batting for $30-40 metre depending on the width but also had Kathmandu fleece for $15 or cashmere wool suiting $25 metre. Do you think either of those would be suitable? I'd like a natural material if I can but like kathmandu fleece as well.

I've bought some cotton batting from TM, was $35 plus postage for queen size (90 x 108 inches?), I could find a link if you're interested.

That looks fab! Don't you love how it just all comes together so nicely, you did a beautiful job.
On a bit a go slow this week with mine as we are really busy, but the top is almost all done backing and binding have been selected, so will definately be onto that next week.

Quilting certainly isn't the cheapest hobby in the world is it? I only managed to do it so fast as I wanted to do it for Scott's birthday present, giving myself a deadline sure helped. Now to do the girls ones. Ideally I'd like to give Steph her one for her birthday in November so at least I've got a few months this time.

I'm thinking if I get some of the wool fabric I saw at spotlight it could be the backing as well, It's not the greatest colour but one less step to do.
DD1 wants to use the fabric I had for my border in her quilt as well so I need to work out if I have enough for both before I go any further as well.

I've been saving my pennies to get the fabric I want for C's quilt. My girlfriend and I are doing it together and will hopefully be able to go out and buy it by the end of this month, I can't wait.

Oh Debbie that's very inspiring. I have till the 18th Sept to get my eldests one done. I've pulled out all the fabric that I'd stashed for his quilt and I'm about to pre-wash it today so I can get started.
