You can get them in sets from Spotlight. I always hammer my thumb though with the little tool they sell them with. I bought a pair of pliers from Spotlight for something like $10 - but then found that the pliers are for size 14 (I think), and the only snaps they sell in big packets are size 16. Grrr!

Most baby clothes are size 15 ,although I noticed on my newest pp bodysuit they are a size 14 which means the bodysuit extenders I made don't work.
I never found anywhere in NZ that had size 15 snaps for sale so ordered mine off etsy. (and might still have the rest in my stash  - what colous do you want?)

I bought metal snap dies off Serena. She does not stock metal snaps though.

I managed to buy a few bags of metal snaps from LWR (so miss that place!)for a steal, and they just happened to be the perfect size for the metal dies from Serena. I've bought other snaps from Etsy (to get a better colour match than those I had from LWR), thinking that metal snaps would be better for the bodysuits I made for Nicci's charity auctions due to less bulk. Unfortunately I ended up unpicking all of them and replacing with plastic snaps which are more reliable grip-wise, so it was a bit of an exercise in wasting time & money :( .

I could lend you my metal die if you only needed it for a short time. I don't want to rehome it permanently, yet. And I could give you some of the LWR snaps too of course.

make sure whatever you get they are LONG prong. I've had a few different types and some just come apart too easily. The long prong are more reliable.

I can definitely send you some then. They are not long prong ones but I haven't had any issues with them - I've used them for making bodysuit extenders and for replacing broken/missing snaps on clothes. I haven't put any through binding (like you would on the crotch snaps of a bodysuit) so would have to check if they can go through the extra thickness if that's what you want them for.
Before I got my metal snap die set I just used one of these - http://www.trendytrims.co.nz/product/?code=ha446 o put them on with. The tool is designed for size 16 snaps so you just need to be careful when lining up the parts of the size 15 ones.
I'm sure you know that you don't have to use size 15 ones though, the size 16 ones that Leanne has will work too.
