Kids sock patterns

Kids sock patterns

Postby mavis » Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:23 pm

Hey I was wanting to know from any other knitter who has knitted kids socks what do you find to be your most successful pattern please.
I knitted some rainbow socks for the boys out of Opal 4ply from the socks for little wizards pattern.
I thought it had all the requirements for successful pair of socks but unfortunately it is dreadful.
They work themselves straight off the feet within the distance of crossing the lounge!
So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've had good success with my own patterns  Not a lot of wee kids patterns out there, but I do love handknit socks for winter :)

I like my own pattern too, but it's only for little kids and isn't free. I've also used the sock recipe in Anne Budd's "The Knitters Book of Patterns" and found that really good too
