Pattern help

Post by Minty » Wed Jul 17, 2013 3:01 pm

I've looked everywhere and can't find the pattern I'm after. It's that cardigan that just about all NZ babies get given (if they are given any knitting that is). I think it is basket weave stitch (or something like that). It has a hood, and from memory 3 buttons down the front. You may have worn one yourself - I think I did.

Please help me oh wise knitters.
Nic

I know the one my girls had it in a few sizes but unfortunately I don't have the pattern. |I could ask my grandmother next time I visit though as she is sure to have it.

Thanks Nessles, don't worry about asking your grandmother I'm sure my aunty will have it (but she doesn't live in chch). I'm just being an impatient online shopper and thought if someone knew the name I would see if I could buy it online.

Here it is on Ravelry, but pattern isn't online. Looks like Whiterose has knitted it.

Shepherd 759

I'm trying to decide on a colour to knit this in for my brand new niece :vibes: I had to get mum to send me a photocopy of her pattern because mine had been used and folded so much some of the writing was gone

Let me look through all my old patterns (as in paper ones and see if I have it, or if MIL has it)

I wonder if knit world stocks it? Or a random small shop like that drapery that used to be on the corner of Woodham and Gloucester, and i think is now just past the bakery back down Gloucester. If it's not made anymore I don't mind sending you a copy of mine :knit: :Knitting:

Oh thanks so much guys - yes that's the one. Yes, I think Bambi do stock it Rachael, I should pop in a see :) From memory, it comes in both 4 ply and 8 ply (one was only recently added, it was traditionally only in one weight I think.). Thanks Team TNN Knitters. :vibes:
