Crochet milo type pattern or other small piece

Post by NPMum » Sat May 03, 2014 2:16 pm

I love the milo pattern and have bought my mum the pattern to knit a milo for DD but I would like to do a similar project in crochet. Needs to be fairly easy I have only made hats and scarves and granny squares in the past.
I have 100g of 4 ply merino that I would like to use. Other options would be a short-sleeve cardigan/bolero cardigan.
For a chubby 6 month old girl.

one of my old books had a vest made out of granny squares for a child - think I sold it to Kylie.

Are you on Ravelry? (If not you can sign up and it's free) Shara Lambeth has 4 different lovely wee vests that look like Milos on her page here http://www.ravelry.com/designers/shara-lambeth. They are 8 ply though, but if you really want to use the 4ply, maybe try doing one of the larger sizes with the 4ply and an appropriately sized hook and it might turn out 6mth ish size??

That is so cute, I have some 8 ply I could use to make one of those but would still like to find something to use my 4 ply.
