I can't seem to find anything bigger than a 5mm needle, is that because they're a lace set, or because they don't do bigger? And I can't seem to find individual ones, only sets?

It's my birthday in 2 months, so I think I'll be getting some needles for it, just have to work out which ones now! For those who have fixed as well as interchangeable, do you just buy fixed in the sizes you use a lot? Any advantage to fixed, or would I be able to do everything I want with interchangeables?
They have a small set, large set and then a complete set and you certainly can buy them in individual lots cos thats how I bought mine lol. You need S cables for the smaller needles, anything above a 5mm needs an L cable.

You can buy them from here https://www.etsy.com/nz/shop/grandmasha ... _leftnav_1 On etsy, www.handsomefibers.com (they are great) or even ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40 (avoid the ones with customs service in the description, they have rip off prices) /amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... oo%20twist

I have fixed in small sizing for sleeves etc, I have addis for those but will be replacing with Chiaogoo fixed :)

I get mine from https://www.etsy.com/shop/grandmashandk ... 403&page=1; it's the TWIST ones you want, if buying fixed I get the Red Lace as they're the ones without the bend. At the moment they have a special offer with 10% off using the code GIFT2014. Make sure you put the code in, pretty sure they don't put it in for you if you forget. Shipping is from the US so not cheap, but I've found them really good to deal with and the one time I had a problem with a needles they sent me a replacement no questions asked.

Thanks hun :D

I'm getting very tempted by the chiao goo, the only thing putting me off is I think it'd be harder to just buy a couple and add to them as needed because they'd have to be ordered in from overseas, whereas knit pro I could have within the hour if I venture to the shops. But maybe I just need to learn some patience

I'm looking at these, can't afford until next year, but as I've never ordered anything from overseas before, how do I find out how much shipping is, and will I get charged by customs when they get here? And how do I know if amazon ships here? And how do I know if it's in NZ dollars, other than Esty each states it? Trying to work out if with shipping etc, it works out cheap than buying from VP, because if it's similar, I'll just buy them here. Not sure whether it's worth buying the whole smaller set, or just the 4 sizes I seem to use most? Sorry, so many questions!

I've bought some fixed needles from that etsy shop. About a year ago I bought 4 packets & the shipping was $10.99 so very cheap.
She'll send you a code for your next shop too.
