Here's another one - this time knitted by my 80 year old Grandma!!! We left the ties off because Munckin wouldn't tolerate them, but it still works great.

Its in Freedom Spirit by Twilleys of Stamford and its shade 508. Its such pretty wool, if a bit pricey! Yay for gifts from Grandmas!

She kind-of looks like a Swedish goat-herder with the long plaits. Perhaps I'll do them a bit smaller next time

Nice work Mid, that is so cute. Now you'll have to teach me. See looks like she is walking well.

Thanks :D Quite chuffed with it, even though I know it's sucky compared to what most people can do

Sophie learned to run 2 days after she started walking, and hasn't slowed down since! Goodbye buggy, I can walk thanks

So I've finally made one of these! Started at 8pm last night, knitting until 10pm, then took from 8.30am until 10am this morning to complete everything on it. So a nice quick knit!

Knit using Patons Smoothie DK, which is THE most devine acrylic (dirty word I know, but the hat is going to Simon's cousin and I can't be sure she will care for wool properly). Colourway is scrummy - its a variegated silver/iceblue/fawn.

Oh, knit in the round on 4mm needles :)
