simple singlet pattern????

Post by 0ebuny » Tue Nov 02, 2010 2:17 pm

ok i am the worlds worst knitter but i would love some nb singlets for the new baby so im wondering if there are any free patterns around tat are super easy for a beginner?

i can cast on and off and do a basic stitch (not sure what its called) and ribbing and thats about it.

any easy patterns you could direct me to?

or any slightly more complicated ones that look nice and work/fit well that i could give to my mum and sister to knit up for me?

thanks

I have a scanned copy of the sideways knit 'rib' singlet. Its not actually knitted in traditional rib (K2P2), its just rows of knit and purl. Knits up really fast, so much easier and enjoyable than a whole singlet of 2x2 rib. Its super stretchy too, the best baby singlet IMO. I am happy to email it to you if you want. Just let me know.

I noticed my LYS had a free one that was all garter stitch (knit each row), I can get a copy if you want?

Hey Rach, any chance I could get a copy of this pattern? Been looking for it for ages!
