Naked Skeins 8ply Vs 10ply

Naked Skeins 8ply Vs 10ply

Postby grizle » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:42 pm

I'm after some 10ply to dye and knit. I have been looking at Kileys 8ply this morning that she ordered and i'm wondering how the 10ply compares. I thought her 8ply seemed more like 4ply :? does their yarn look thinner than the average?

It blooms a lot when you dye it, it blooms to normal-thick 8ply thickness.

Thats good to know. It just seemed really thin for 8ply - thought maybe they had mixed it up with the 4 ply

:rotfl: Snap just thought this and emailed you that maybe it puffed when dyed. Thats is really good to know as was wondering if I was going to have to hunt out patterns that had a range for 4 - 8ply just in case.
