My last parcel stalled in Auckland, and the fedex tracking just showed that it was waiting for clearance, and the ETA disappeared too. So I rang Fedex and they said that it had been inspected by MAF and I had to pay $75 to release the parcel or it would be destroyed.

Apparently MAF do random inspections and the receiver of the parcel has to pay it.

You probably wouldn't be unluckily enough to have this happen, but it may pay to make everyone taking part in the co-op aware that it could, and agree to split the charge before taking part.

I've already emailed Sandra, but am very happy for you to take it from here :D. I asked her for a price for both 25 and 50 undyed, so it'll be interesting what prices she comes back with for a mix of dyed and undyed.

Ok, I heard back from Sandra this morning and if we were to do an undyed only order, each skein will be $5 and shipping will be $32 for 25 skeins or $49 for 50 skeins (US). So, cheaper than the special for the dyed yarn.

Anyone keen?

And for those who want to order dyed maybe we could get Sandra to tell us how much each skein will be (although it sounds like a few of us want undyed)?

I asked for a estimate on 30 skeins undyed and 10 dyed (just as an estimate) and she gave me this reply
The total is $ 247 including shipping via fedex. but no individual price so I went back to her :)

EDIT: just got this back from her: With this promotion, each handpainted skein is $ 5.5 and $ 5 each skein undyed.
