Over locker help, please!! - sorted :)

Postby mama anne » Mon May 07, 2012 10:45 pm

My left needle stitches keep skipping in my 4 thread over locker. Never done this before.
Have tried different thread, new needle, retreading all the threads (multiple times!!!), sewing with different material.

Can anyone help? :(

Are you threading it in the right order?

Change tension? Pretty much all my over locker problems are because of the wrong tension.

Are the needles the right sort?
my overlocker takes needles that are slightly longer than standard machine ones

Thanks ladies :)

I took all the threads out, then rethreaded in the right order. Still not working. Then changed each thread for a different spool of thread.

It started working. \:D/
Thank goodness, but seriously so so frustrating!!!

Needs a service generally. I've had it for 5 years without a service 8-[
