Jenny, I know there is a product called dye catcher which you can put in the wash with it. Maybe see if Spotlight or your local Quilt shop has some. :(

Thanks Vivienne! =D> I googled it and it came up with Dylon Colour Catcher which can be bought at Countdown for $7.50 for a box of 12 sheets! Will definitely give it a go (willbe useful for other laundry as well! :D ). Hope it works!!
Since you're a quilting expert, what would you have done to avoid this problem in the first place?

You can also get another product called run away which takes the dye runs out if they have already happened.

I can't say I have, I don't prewash any fabric  Just been lucky. I have tested for colour fastness using scraps after making a quilt (thought I better before selling it), but haven't had any problems so far.

No it's not actually! The middle photo is the back and it's called a 'cheater quilt'. It's printed that way and is from the same line as I used for the front. I love the fabric (and like the back more than the front I think even though the front was so much more work!)

I just saw it before on FB and laughed to myself that we picked the same fabric. Yours is just gorgeous!
