Cutting fabric for a rag rug...

Do I
need to cut it on the bias, or shouldn't it matter too much? Planning on crocheting it

I don't think it would matter personally, but then I haven't made one :)

I made mine with platting and just cut it straight with no issues.

Im pretty sure cutting it straight is fine... but I havent made one myself so dont trust me :lol:

Ive seen tutes where they cut it from the bottom of a tee shirt in a spiral all the way up to save joining.

Thanks. I'm just going to rip it (easier to keep it straight) so knowing it doesn't need to be on the bias has made my life a lot easier
