Can you get a picture of it with the cover open and threaded up? My sister's did something similar and the problem was that the stitch finger had be knocked out of place.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I already have a question - does the foot lift/go down? and if so, where is the lever?

The foot should go up and down just like a sewing machine. If its up then it loosens all the tension of the threads. It needs to be down for it to sew properly.

Yes, I thought the foot would need to go down, but I can't see the lever to do it.

if you can put the foot down it would most probably explain the no sewing,
on my brother the foot control is on the right hand side a largeish leaver,

what model number is writen on it?

Hehe.. yes to clarify.

On my overlocker, I always sew with the foot down.
Happi has picked my overlocker up this arvo, and her hubby is going to see if he can fix it.

I now have Happi's overlocker here to finish my production sewing with, but because it is so much more advanced than mine, I am having trouble figuring out where everything is :D
Nevermind - it will get done :D

PLUS - when Happi dropped it off, she took out all the thread, and put all the tension back to 0. :D All good though :D

do you want me to pop up today? (phone me) The lever is grey - you will find it - its a side ways lift.

I am off for the school run and will check when I get back.

0-ing the tension means you get to set it and its just loose all over when you start. - chances are my lil gals had fiddled and it was off ! so tighten them all to 3-4 then needle threads a bit more

yes thank you :D I actually prefer to start the threading/tension bit myself anyway, because if something goes wrong, I sort of know what to do.
I'm just doing a quick whip around the house to tidy now, as we have people coming for my birthday dinner (Yah!! :D ), then I plan to sit down and have a go.

Thanks Happi, I will surely ring if I need help
