The leotard was shaped like a singlet and the top and quite wide in the crouch area. His shorts were mid thigh length and quite baggy with just an elastic waist. None of the boys wore a unitard or if they did they all had shorts over the top. They also wore a club tracksuit for the team walk on, in between apparatus and prize giving. If it will help I can pm you a pic of Riley is his gear

Thanks Nee, yes they have a team tracksuit (well jacket and their own black tracksuit pants), the tracksuit is the same as the girls use and Z wore it last year for recreational competitions. Interesting that his shorts were the same fabric, the ones I've seen are either taslon, normal rugby shorts, or a t-shirt knit fabric. Did his leotard have any colour detailing? if so was it lined on the inside, a raw overlock edge or had they just embalished it onto the front of the leotard? I've seen plenty of pics/ watched boys at competitions/ trainings so am pretty familiar with what the other clubs in midlands/ auckland wear. Girls got their leotards at training Thursday night (the junior competitive girls hire them from the club for the season) and the boys were a bit gutted they didn't have anything so will be great to get started on this. So Riley isn't doing gym anymore?

No he quit at the end of last year he was doing really well but he had a change of coach that was a little on the rough side and didn't want to go back which was a shame as he had done really well and was one of a few that were ready for level 3.

Yeah his leotard was dark green with white vertical strip and it was firm around the chest and shoulders.

Riley liked his shorts as he could do the splits easy without them riding up or bunching in the groin and they were light weight. There were some boys with rugby shorts and they didn't look that comfortable. I think our older boys had different shorts that were a little thicker but they were still stretchy.
