ISO Stuffed hobby horse pattern

Postby grizle » Tue Jan 11, 2011 11:35 am

DS is riding my broom at the moment :rotfl: . Is there a free pattern anywhere to make a horsehead for a hobbyhorse (think thats their name)? Want the fabric ones.

Something like this http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.195024095.jpg

That's a beautiful horse! I made a hobby horse for DS for Christmas and only found one fabric version online and not as nice as the one in your link (here: http://createeveryday.blogspot.com/2008 ... -pony.html). My patience gets a bit low with online trawling though and I ended up using a sock tutorial instead (http://vintagechica.typepad.com/the_lif ... horse.html - they also have a link down the bottom of their tute to a magazine that has instructions for a beautiful horse but I couldn't get hold of it) and it worked out really well.

If you're doing an online search also try "stick pony" :D

Found it - its Style 4351 has a elephant, camel and horse pattern which I think you could adapt the horse head easy.

Might even finish making the one thats been sitting there for ummmmm hove ever long it was that I was given it to finish.

What is this "manly party" you speak of? I'm intrigued!
I always wanted a hobby horse when I was a kid, I think they're great.
