Diff types of snaps?

Im trying to make a OSFA nappy but the snaps im using dont seem to "hold" tight enough if you know what i mean

Im using size 20 green beans snaps at the moment.

I have had a look at a couple of Chinese imported nappies that my friends have and the snaps on them seem to be really grippy.

Was just wondering if i need a diff size or do i need to buy them from somewhere overseas?

When you attach them, push harder on the press/pliers.
It'll help them snap better/grippier.

One tip I was given for the press I borrow from time to time is - use it on the floor.
if you kneel down on the floor and push, use your body weight, it's super-easy and you'll get enough force every time. if you have it on a tabletop you almost have to pull the handle down and it's very difficult to get enough force on it.

I am definetely putting enough pressure on them, and if i push any harder the snaps break.

I also sit on the floor and use my body weight.

Ive used the press quite a lot and dont have any problem with the snaps, its just the snaps to adjust the rise NEED to hold better than they do.
The imported ones from china that my friend has are heaps grippier, thats why i thought there might be a better brand to buy?
