elastic//stabiliser for swimwear

Postby justene » Mon Oct 11, 2010 7:54 pm

i'm making togs, and have used clear elastic in the legs but its not really cutting it, i think it needs some type of stabiliser inserted, i'm coverstitching the seams and straps, and comparing it to brought togs which seem to have something thicker used,

in around the crotch part where there are two layers of lycra the coverstitching has turned out alot better to where there is only one layer of lycra, neater and easier to sew.

any ideas on what i could use?

I picked a couple of metres of rubber elastic up today in Levin. I can spare some if you're interested. I got 6mm and 10mm in white.
