When does it ask for the coupon code? I've never ordered from there before and it wants my visa details to make an account. I'm hoping it will give me a coupon opportunity before charging to it!

Leanne - you can enter your details and then the coupon, Hancocks don't charge your card until the items ship, and there is time to cancel in stead of confirming. My last order was delayed as they were closed for a big quilt show, my card was not charged till the order was complete. Thye are reliable, but shipping takes longer than some of the other shops, typically 20 to 30 days for international. If you want free shipping you can sign up for the newsletter and get free shipping on next oder over $50

Thanks Viv, that's really helpful. Does the $50 free shipping offer include shipping batting?

Yes it does. I have an order on the way which includes 2 lots of queen size wool batting. It works out way cheaper than yu can get it in NZ. I only buy the wool batting though as I can get cotton batting at wholesale price here.

Thanks Viv, great to hear you recommend their batting. I bought some last night from HofP after  at what I paid for the batting for Mrs H's quilt yesterday. It will probably take me a month to finish the top & back of James' then start Emily's quilt

The coupon worked perfectly for me last night sjl. Did you order batting? I wonder if there's something in there that stops it from working (any preorder stuff?)

Doesn't look like it's working for me either, says FREE4MOM has been applied, but the shipping charge is still showing, I have 3 yards of batting in my order.
ETA: I think I've worked it out, there's a surcharge for batting of $15 for up to 3 batts, it's not shipping

Yeah, it was up to two lots of batting. I bought 2 queen precuts and it went through with no shipping charge.

I've emailed them, even with the shipping it's still cheaper than here though. I've got the 3 yards for George's quilt and another precut king size cotton batt.

I've tried rejigging my order a few different ways and the shipping charge is still showing up. As Sable said though it's still cheaper than buying it here.

Sarah, It's probably because you are buying batting in yards rather than in the precut sizes.
