Has anyone used spoonflower?

Post by Dunners » Sat May 26, 2012 1:56 pm

http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome

I've just stumbled upon them while looking for quilt labelling ideas. I didn't know such a place existed! I am just a little tempted to get some of the kids artwork custom printed :hide: How cool would that be! I may just get the kids doodling.

I've not used them but I've read the blogs of people who do and they're all really happy with it. I love the idea, just not quite so keen on the pricing.

I think Viv has - she had a post on her blog about it.

I have seen a few things done by others, one tip is don't use too much black as it doesn't come out really dark, more grayish.

Yep, fairly good service, but they only use eco dyes so the reds and blacks aren't very strong. Apart form that it was okay. Bit pricey 8-[ It would have to be a special project for me to order again.

Yes Tiny happy uses spoonflower and she raves about them.
I would love to get the kids art turned into fabric too how amazing would that be?
For custom printing and eco dyes I think the pricing is pretty reasonable really.
