Where exactly is the Addington welfare centre? I've got adult clothing and some kids stuff I could drop off tomorrow, just got to find the time.

The racecourse. There's civil defence signs pointing the way.

cool, I've got all sorts here from AIO's to woollen singlets, hats and maybe even some woollen cardigans if I can get hold of Mum to get her ok to donate them (she and Gran knitted them for the boys). Cant' give the blankets as they're heirlooms. We only have one spare pillow and that's our standby for anyone being ill so we need that.

I called into Linwood today. They are doing pretty well though one warden said he had to actually dump a bunch of stuff as people had given them lots of dirty blankets that even the Sallies wouldn't take. Pity they didn't give them to dogwatch though as they are calling for pet bedding and food. Then he tried to convince me to stay for food. I actually had to protest so don't know if they are short on food! Though it just might be the marae styles they have going there. Iwouldn't give them any more blankets unless there is a call for it as they had a room full.

I did a drop off at Addington today, the room with supplies was looking a little sad and they were glad to get my pile. Lots of warm woolies for babies dropped off as well as some towels, sheets, ladies jeans etc. They were very happy to see a couple of childrens books and also some shampoo and conditioner. A lot of what I handed over in the baby stuff was being kept for the next family baby, but this was more urgent so I just kept the stuff that Gran had knitted for me as a baby and gave away all the more recent stuff.
I think anything that's in good order will be gratefully received there at this point.

We went to Linwood yesterday and they were very appreciative of the kids clothing toys and nappies we dropped off. Might do another sort out.

Maybe they've been overrun? I think Linwood was accepting all those things does anyone know?
Is it only Addington and Linwood in ChCh?
