Is it one auction or are you loading them individually?

Cooooool stuff!

I was thinking the other day - what do you have planned postage wise? (I would offer Fastway bags but I think I'm a bit far away to be of that much use. You may want to sign up to Fastway yourself to make the most of them collecting from you, tracked, overnight delivery etc (e.g. A5 bags in sets of 20 for near $3.50 each)).

Also, curious to know if you're going to have them as $1 reserve, or ? (wondering if you're planning to do free shipping, or?) 8-[

Mmm, could I get just one or two sets of Fastway bags Leanne? I've tried making an online query from them before and they never responded, so I was just planning to use NZ Post.

Buyers will pay postage, but most things won't cost much (unless they win several auctions :D ), perhaps $3 - $6 depending on size. Of course for you, I would happily deliver.

Not planning on doing $1 reserve, but have to admit that I'm nervous about putting prices on things. I think there will be a range of start prices in the region of $5 - $25. I'm pondering on a couple of $1 reserve auctions (which will really be a donation), but don't imagine they will appeal to people here (but perhaps to some of Mum's colleagues/friends who don't have someone to gift the lovely goodies to, but who would like to make a donation).

Nicci are you a facebooker? I have a feeling youre not...but if you are you could start a page to promote your cause and all our friends will be drawn to it and the fabulous auctions! Or I could pop over and help start it if you were keen?
Nicos toybox is an example but they are auctioning on there rather than trademe :D http://www.facebook.com/NicosToybox

You're right Hannah, I'm not on Facebook, but I am more than happy for other Facebookers to link to the auctions - the more the merrier!

Maybe wait until the auctions are loaded so that when people go and look there are things to see? The auctions will run for a week, so its probably plenty of time, what do you think?

Not sure if this link works, but this is the account I'm using:

Give Fastway a call, they will happily work with you for whatever "need" you have. The only requirement being that you buy in sets of 20 bags in whatever size you wanting (25 for the DL size) and they have to be paid for in advance-ish (not sure when they bill, I always pay the day I get them before I forget!).

I'm not sure what the rules are with shipping, but I've always thought it seems a bit more expensive for traders to do free shipping (assuming they build it into the cost of the item), and have TM benefit from the slightly larger commission fee. But since TM has generously waived fees, I wonder if this would be worth doing, to further promote the auctions (and make it a bit easier for people to bid to x amount KWIM?)? Of course you would need to take into account the NZPost cost in case they are rural. (I'm out of touch with NZPost equivalent costings)

If TM's generosity allows, you may want to extend the auctions to the 10 days - I've found way more hits with those extra few days (though it costs 25 c more to do that).

Good luck with the pricing - that's the tricky bit eh! (I would personally be very happy for any of my things to be put on $1R ;) Though of course you mix them up/group them/price them as you wish etc :vibes: You'll be very busy!)

Alrighty, I have my Fastway bags organised, thanks Leanne. :vibes:

Now apologies to all the lovelies who have sent things that have arrived in the past couple of days (Gabes, Leanne and Rootoo). My camera batteries went flat, so I picked some up this afternoon, but it was too gloomy by the time I got home to take any pictures. I'm hoping to take some tomorrow afternoon, in the meantime, I'll tease everyone else with news of gorgeous sock yarn, hand-dyed 8ply skeins and stacks of super cute sewing from Leanne. :vibes: :vibes:
