Just found tis thread. Crazy. I bought a nappy from the store a few weeks ago but had a problem with the fabric laddering by the centre snap. The lady said it would be covered by a manufacturers warranty but would not exchange it because the receipt didn't specify it was that particular nappy. She remembered me buying it but I had been in a few times. I couldnt guarantee it was the right receipt as their receipt didn't specify products just value and I had used my rate payer discount. So that would mean no one could verify what they had bought by their receipt and therefore no body would be able to exchange anything!

I'm sure that's illegal, it's their receipt how can they not honour it.

Yeah I think they have to too, but its one nappy which still works fine to be honest. Ladder hasn't got any worse since then. It doesn't really fit either but thats not the issue I guess. From reading this thread I don't think its worth fighting because I obviously won't get far without legal action! Not worth the $40 the nappy is worth!

I live in Chch and I had some of the stitching break on one of my nappies and the elastic go in another one. It was a couple of days before the 3 month warranty period was up, so I emailed Mum and Bubs bluntly saying that I would like to return them. When I took them in, they were replaced without any fuss. My receipts weren't even checked! (they also did not specify which nappies I had purchased). So not everyone has these hassles (I guess I was just lucky  )

glad you had no problems Sapphire24. Mum and Bubs were the only retailers of MCNs here for a while but now we can choose who to support with Bumbles opening next week with a range of products, MILK selling fuzzis and, Baby Factory selling pea pods. I'm going to support and recommend retailers who I can trust.

Isn't Mum and Bubs the importers of Pea Pods? Personally I'm steering clear of Pea Pods after all the bad feedback about them.

I will never purchase from Mum and Bubs again as I do not trust them based on what I've read. I've always felt that you can trust people who run a shop, but this is not always the case. This business puts MCN's to shame.

I'm so glad Bumbles is opening a shop (and so close to my home)

Well I'm another dissatisfied customer.

I ordered my nappies on the 29th of March. Apparently the nappies were finally sent last week. Still no nappies. My credit card was charged on March 30.

I have lodged a chargeback with my bank to get the charge reveresed from her as I do not believe her story that the nappies were posted when she said they were.

I will also be lodging a complaint with the Commerce Commission.
