oh no, sorry to hear about your knee.

Just wanted to post to say that we are collecting brochures from nappy businesses for a table at the Auckland Expo. I can bring some down for the Hamilton expo too if you are planning a table / display for brochures?

I'll say yes please! :D

Helen, I look forward to seeing what you have. From some other threads I've seen I'm really curious. Will you have all your stock by then?

There is a medieval event in Auckland that weekend that we've been to every other year (but it's been in Hamilton), I don't want to miss this one, but I want to be at the Hamilton expo and we've already been away once this month.... decisions, decisions :? Why does every thing have to happen at once?

I must get on and follow up the e-mails I've sent to the local media.

Hi Guys,

Just something to keep in mind for rnw.

We will be having displays around Hamilton during Real Nappy Week, so if you are able to help (wo)man any of these it would be much appreciated.

So far we only have confirmation for Dinsdale, but the following are when and where we are in the process of arranging to have them so far:

Tuesday 22/4 - The Base
Wednesday 23/4 - Civic Square
Friday afternoon 25/4 - outside Woolworths Dinsdale

If you could give a couple of hours at any of these displays would be most helpful. Please let us know what time/place would suit you best. :D

I might be able to help at Woolies Netty. Are there any meetings coming up?

So are the displays on top of the expo? What exactly is happening - can you give us a programme of stuff that has been organised?

Are there posters available? I've got some time this week and next so would be happy to put them up around my end of town if I can get some :)

I won't say yes to manning the stands, just not up to it at this stage sorry.

Thanks for that Sarah.

Mazz, I can fully understand your unavailability for (wo)manning displays :)

Yes, the displays are as well as the expo.

The displays involve being at a stand with the demo kit, handing out brouchers(sp?) and invites for the expo. Letting people have a look and feel of mcn's irl and answering any questions they may have.

Bex is currently working on the posters, so hopefully we'll have them in the next few days.

The next and final meeting will probably be this week's nappicino. It has Thursday at Bex's for that, but there are other things to consider:
This is the wrong Thursday for me (I have another meeting but could forgo it if Thursday suits others better).
I'm happy to have it Friday (at my place as my lot are out of school) BUT:
- Considering the V8 disruption (which will be worse on Friday) I don't really think ours is a good suburb to have it either day.
So any suggestions would be appreciated - in saying all that some don't come on here regularly so we might have to stick with plan A (Bex's Thursday) anyhow.

So far we have planned or are planning:

Displays:
Tuesday 22/4 - The Base
Wednesday 23/4 - Civic Square
Friday afternoon 25/4 - outside Woolworths Dinsdale

Mini Expo:
Saturday 26/4
8am-2pm
Parents Place, Boundry Road
Free entry.

Nappy Workshops:
Organised by Kate Meads
Sunday 27/4
2 workshops (Times I'll edit in when I've looked for them)
Parents Place, Boundry Road
Cost:$5 per couple

Can someone text me and remind me/confirm where and when? Do you have a mobile? oh two one five eight five one five five

Or what if we make it an afternoon or evening?
I'm more than happy to offer my place for evenings or afternoons.

Getting over this way without going through town is pretty easy from Flagstaff/Roto right round through Nawton and to Deanwell/Glenview. I don't ever drive to those places down Greenwood/Kahikitea/Avalon.

I had another idea for the DIY display and expo prize.

Does anybody want me to make them a "licenced" nappy?

I was looking at the Kiwiana prints (specifically Buzy Bee) at Spotty and thinking that's one thing you can do DIY that you can't really buy.

So if somebody in Hamilton would like to buy 1 metre of Busy Bee print, I will make two nappies for prizes (two people's contributions) and one for display at the expo which you can then take home to keep after RNW. (And $18 for any nappy isn't bad  )

Although if anybody has enough of another licenced fabric to make three nappies we could possibly use that instead.

PM me if you're interested

I think we'll have to go with Thursday (today) 10:30 at Bex's for our final meeting it will be less confusion and hassle.

Hello?

Is anybody there?

Heeellllooo

Right. I'll say it on here and then I'll PM all you Hamilton people and if I still don't get any response I'm going to sit in the corner and sulk

Anyway.

The posters and invites are printed we need to get these out and about the city (yes, I know it's a bit late - the whole thing has crept upon us). If you are willing to put some posters about the places you frequent (libraries, community noticeboards, shops etc) I am happy to deliver some to you - just PM me your address if you want me to do that.

We will be getting a mention on the eco page of The Times next week - I've yet to find out the day that will be out.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!
Please, please if you are able to spare a few hours on Tuesday or Wednesday next week to help with displays - WE NEED YOU!
