New Plymouth RNW

New Plymouth RNW

Postby lizzie » Fri Mar 07, 2008 3:28 pm

Hi ladies.

I'm thinking we should do another evening at the parent centre for RNW. Charlotte has found out that the rooms are available on the Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd of April. My vote is for the Wednesday but I could do either.

What do you guys think? Which day is better? Maybe there are some other suggestions as to where we could hold our evening?

Also, any ideas on what we could do different this time round would be much appreciated. I certainly don't think it would be fair to try and get all the giveaways we had last time as I'm sure most of the WAHM's will be doing lots for RNW anyway.

Let me know what you think.
:D

Fantastic idea! Good on you Lizzie!

Um, not sure on ideas, I'll ruminate for a while.

If anyone is interested, we could also do a sewing/demonstration as well - separately or part of the evening??

I am happy to help out with supper and all that stuff. I think a sewing demo is a fantastic idea. We could even do up a similar DIY kit to what you would get from Greenbeans, or they may even donate us one if they knew what we were up to. Then someone can talk about it while someone sews and the sewing could continue into the break if needed. I can talk nappies if you want me too. We need to get it into the midweek briefly column, thats free. Also maybe get some flyers done for the current antenatal classes, remember no brands on the flyers for them. Put some flyers up in the plunket rooms and I am seeing my piki te ora nurse wednesday so could let her know about it to. Let me know what you want me to do. I will let the active birthers know about it.

Okey dokey, Monday 21st is all booked out, but the evenings of Tues, wed and Thurs are all available.
So lets have a vote of hands and I will get a night booked.
For me, any night is fine, but would prefer wed or thurs

Hi ladies

I can let my coffee group ladies know about it too.

Nyree - who is your Pike nurse? I have Amanda coming here on Friday and I can let her know if she isn't your nurse.

"Hopefully" DD will be good and I can come.

So what now? The anti natal classes that are running at pc at the moment are finishing next week I think so if we want to get info to them we will have to do that next week,. Then the next lot of classes I don't think start until the week of the 30th of April....I could find out if we will be able to send info to them if you like?

what else, I have never been a part of anything like this so am keen to help but probably won't be fill of too many ideas :?

Thanks for helping Charlotte you're a legend! :D I've been a bit out of action this week so I havn't given it much thought yet(mmmmm.......pain killers are my friends :twitch: )

Right so it looks like we'll have to get a flier organised for advertising this event. I think there are some templates on this thread somewhere (?) so I'll get looking today and hopefully can one organised to drop off to those antenatal classes.
