OK, I will contact the co-ordinator of the antinatal classes today to confirm the evenings that the classes run (I think it is Mon/tues/wed) and check that it is OK for us to hand out this info (which I know it is but just re-confirm)... I will see if we are able to do an email drop to the up and coming anti-natal classes if you all think that is a good idea.
I can also get a poster put up at the pc if we want to.
What about some info to the midwives??? and ward 15??????

I've got a midwife appointment on Wednesday, but I guess that the posters are unlikely to be ready for then. Happy to drop it in there other than that though. I guess I'll be moving onto fortnightly visits there soon

Yeah those are all good ideas. Emailing the antenatal classes is a fab idea. We left some leaflets at Birthright last time, and just printed out as many as we could to give away whenever/wherever. I think we must have given out over 100 last time. I had a request from a budget advice place to keep them in the loop for future events so I'll have to track them down too. I'll also post on the hospital intranet every week or so. Nyree is our 'in' person for postnatal at the hospital. Anthea might be able to get a few into Plunket for us

The council place at the cinema complex are happy to do free photocopying for us, but they get a bit funny about more than 50 copies at a time. I can get away with some printing at work (when my old hag boss isn't watching) and DH can do some at his work too.

I am going to do a proper press release this time to the TDN and the Midweeker, so hopefully we'll get a bit more coverage. I did invite a journalist last time but he was a no show. Of course we'll pop an add in the midweeker before the 24th too.

we have got the go ahead to give out to participants at antenatal classes and put posters up at Parents Centre - as long as no 'brand' names are used.
I have got contact details for Nicky Thompson if we would like to advertise in the Midweek. Also it has been suggested to me that PORSE may also advertise in their newsletter, as well as PAFT.
Also I will contact Sarah Hall to see if she will send a message out to pc members ..

So I am in need of posters and flyers/pamphlets, have you got any spares Lizzie???

Hey Nicky doesn't work for midweek she is a pc volunteer and she puts any parents centre stuff in the newspaper briefly column. She may do that for you, or you can do it yourself. All you do is email the midweek. But either way I am sure it will get in, just Nicky mgiht be suprised that you are contacting her to do it, IYWIM!!!

We can only use free advertising unless anyone is keen to pay out? Hehe. We didn't need to pay for any of it last time and got huge numbers, so I'd rather not pay this time either.

I managed about 40 posters at work yesturday and I'll get DH to print out another 40 or so on Sunday when he goes back to work. Feel free to pop around to mine and pick some up.

Last time I just stopped off to the newspaper office in town and dropped in one of our posters and asked them to put the info into the midweeker. Was as easy as that.
