Hahaha, we were the knitting circle in the middle :D

Thanks for the pics, it's funny looking at the names to the pics and going 'oh, so that's who I was talking to' I ended up putting my username on my name tag too :P

Yay. Thank you for putting faces (and names) to usernames :). I did work out a few of them based on brands or avatars ;).

Looks like it was a great day both socially and info wise.

Same people as the previous photo but front views of the lovely Jessie and Heather. And Michelle - Cloth Convert is sitting knitting to the left of Jessie.

And Pippa is in the background in front of the door, and Angie is in the white t-shirt in the background between Jessie and Heather.

I'm in the middle back ground talking to Mel who has her back to the camera.

It was great to see such a good turnout - I felt like I talked to heaps of pregnant couples who were keen to use cloth but didn't quite know how to yet. Hopefully we've convinced them how easy it is! I was pleased to see so many dads taking an active interest too. And also great to meet some TNN people in real life.

Happi wrote:what we noticed though is the people interested in handknit soakers are not those new to cloth nappying. its the old hands looking for leak protection that were pleased to see us :)

I think the idea of using wool as a waterproof layer is just too far out there at the beginning - I certainly wasn't prepared to believe it last year but now I'm starting to see it as an option. Although I did notice one pregnant lady taking copious notes about care of soakers...

Yes that was awesome to see! and so positive because they were there to learn and you didnt have to convince them as much as expos like the child and parenting expos kwim? (they still had the stunned and confused expressions tho  )
