oh aww Bec, she is such a cutie! and nice fabric too.
How I miss DD would stay still for me to take a pic....

My monster DD in minky Chunky Monkey with trifold of 2 layers hemp & 1 layer microfibre towel.
Sorry not prefect sewing. Love sewing this pattern. Love the fit on DD too :D
Fabric: bamboo velour
DD inseam ~24cm
Out-seam (is it how you called it?) ~ 32cm
Follow almost every instructions re: casing and hem allowance

Am going to sew one in cotton lycra now.

Can get photos if needed.
Yep that's ok :)
would love to see photos.

Am I right in thinking the smaller sizes need more rise but not the larger sizes?

Your littleee is pretty cute too, she's got that "I'm so proud I can toddle" look on her face :D I got that cotton lycra from someone on here, it might have come from Levena. I love stripes on kiddies!

I've just finished sewing mine (bar the hems) and they fit really well bar the length but DS is short so expected that.

Just loading photos and will upload with his measures shortly

this is the cotton lycra one

I used 2.5cm for the casing this time and love the fit on her bum.
Used 1cm allowance for the inseam this time (I think I used 0.5cm most time), DD has really chubby thigh but still wouldn't say it fit like leggings.
Bum area was good though

10mth -
Fabric: stretch rib velour
DD inseam ~20cm (to bottom of nappy)
Out-seam (is it how you called it?) ~ 32cm (to top of nappy)

I still havent done the Hems as cant get the pants off him  but even store pants I have to cut or roll about 2-4cm so expected it with these too, which is the case. For me the back rise could be slightly higher as his nappy pops out the top at the back a tad, but a really good fit. Oh and I did the 72cm for him.

I haven't done the elastic yet, so just folded it over about 2.5cm (as I have already overlocked some of the allowance off)
Seems pretty good to me :)

60cm size.

I've done mine, bar the elastic casing.
There's only 4cm of so of fabric left above the nappy so given I like the elastic to sit over the nappy I'll make the casing fold over a bit smaller. (edge was overlocked but no fabric trimmed off)
This is the 64cm size on a 61cm baby. Nappy is a peapod with single insert (whatever the standard pea pod one is)

The leg length is really good but I think for winter leggings the next size up would allow some growth room and resolve the casing issue

Mine is done too, just charging batteries then I can take photos, as I expected the 72cm ones are too long on miss 8mths but the fit is great even in the rise :D

Here's DD in hers made of a thick cotton lycra. She is 6m and was 8kg and 68cm about 2 weeks ago and I did the 72cm size. As I expected they are a bit long in the leg but I love the fit on her. I have folded the bottoms up for the photos. She was wearing a homemade pocket with a bamboo/hemp trifold and a microfibre trifold for the photo.
Inseam 16cm
Outside leg 29cm

So would it be accurate to say that if the leg length is right the rise is a bit short, and if the legs are too long the rise is about right?
Trying to put it all together in my head... would it be too much to ask everyone to do a quick rundown so I've got it all in one place?
Size of baby - age, height and weight, inside leg, rise (from centre crotch seam to where you'd like the pants to fit at the back)
Size of pants made, fit - loose pants or tights, rise - too short, ok, too long - if not right by how much
Anything else - I've noted that the pattern needs fold lines/ hem lines, that the "allowance" needs to say 'included' to avoid confusion, I need to add shorten and lengthen lines, lines for shorts length would also be good, one leg piece on the larger size pattern is backwards....

That's right ofr us anyway, rise is great but long in the leg.
Size of baby: 6m, 68cm, 8kg, inside leg 16cm, rise 22cm
Size of pants made: 72cm, fit as trousers, rise is perfect, leg is too long for DD by approx 4.5cm for her, although I probably would make them slightly longer than 'perfect' length as she is at the lower end of fit and I want them to last.
