Maternity/ Heavy overnight Pad testers FULL Thanks

Post by Darny » Mon May 02, 2011 4:33 pm

I've finally got around to drafting up a copy of my extra super duper maternity/ overnight pad, and wondering if anyone would be interested in testing it.
It's not for the faint hearted - finished length is around 40cm! But it does work!
I need testers to tell me if my instructions are ok - not so much for the pad itself as I've been using this style for years and it works fine

File is 560 odd kbs

please PM me your email address if you'd like to try it.

Do you need an overlocker ? Mara often overflows her night pad , not sure if it's volume or just positioning but I don't have an overlocker . Been wanting to try some pads but with mine was just going to be stitch and turn

nup, overlocker is easier, but pul and microfleece don't need it, and you can zigzag the edges of the absorbent layers

If you flick me your email I'll send you the undies pattern - are you on broadband? (might be a shade large for dial up)

iv made this today and your right its huge  but when i put it in a pair of my nana knickers (the ones i save for after giving birth and that time of the month  )
it covers all the bits that get leeked on so i think it will work well (will confurm this in a week  )

instuction are fine, easy to follow (there is one pic thats a bit confussing tho (2nd one on page 4)

i will admit that i read the instuctions after i made the pad :hide:

Looks nice! (much nicer than my boring white version)
I'd call them a surfboard, but they are more surfboard with a burly lifesaver at either end :smt044
Will have a look and see if I can find a better pic for the one you mentioned :)

Pattern works well.

My head was spinning a little when I was reading about snap placement, not sure how you make it sound less confusing. It might help to explain (have diagram) to a snap newbie which is the stud, socket and cap.
