Pattern Testers required to sew girls L/sleeve shug
Hi
I have designed a number of garments for children with the beginner sewer in mind. Basically the designs use stretch fabrics and have minimal seams to sew and rely on the cut of the pattern to form the garment rather than the sewer contructing the garment in the traditional sense, with bodice, then sleeves attached, collars facings etc...
I'm starting testing with the shrug which needs to be made from 2 way stretch, has two seams and finishing. Choice of any three styles to make - hoodie, or gathered,or puff sleeve. or combination of any of the three. Can be made using overlocker or sewing machine with zigzag or stretch stitch on sewing machine. Would like testers from any sewing level from beginner to experianced. I will work with beginners to sort problems out as particlaurly interested in their sewing problems.
Sizes 6 month-1 year up to 51 com( 20 inch), 2-3 years,to 56 cm (22 inches) 4-5 years, to 61cm (24 inches) 6-7 years to 66 cm (26 inch) and 8-9 to 77cm (30 cm).
Fabric needs to be 2 way stretch. any sewing level from beginner to experianced.
Needs to be finished within next 2 weeks.
You will be supplied with full PDF pattern and instructions as instruction form part of testing. photo of finished garment required.
Testing for general acceptance of sizes and clearness or instructions.
I have no specific number of testers in mind. This is a free for all to achieve as braod a test as possible
Many thanks for your time, please leave a reply if you are interested
Liz

I could do this also. My DD is only 19.5in chest though but is nearly two so may need to adjust pattern to fit which is probably not so helpful to you.

I'll give it a go if you like. I haven't been sewing clothes very long, but am getting the hang of cotton. Only made a couple of things with stretch, My daughter is 4 years old.

Re: Pattern Testers required to sew girls L/sleeve shug
I'd be keen to test - Size 6-7 years please. I'd be using sewing machine and am not a beginner sewer but I wouldn't call myself an advanced sewer either.

Sounds interesting
Could do a 2-3 or 6-7 or both.
I'm reasonably experienced at sewing.

Re: Pattern Testers required to sew girls L/sleeve shug
I could do a 4-5 and maybe a 6m-1 but would need to be able to do it within the next week as we are unavailable the one after
(Also as long as there wasn't any binding or a zip because they leave me clueless!!
