I have already sewn a few things so will get them loaded for an inspiration thread :D
I also thought maybe for non sewers and knitters you could create a nice cosy reading corner or revamp a bedroom to make it all snug ready for winter. Maybe even winter vege planting.
I had a longer post but a little hand just crept onto my keyboard and deleted it :gaah:

So maybe something for ourselves or our mothers as a theme?

A couple of ideas:
- Christmas (soonish so that we can be ready in plenty of time before being hit from all directions with Christmas stuff, but also so that we can gain inspiration from others AND have time to act on those inspirations rather than packing the ideas away for another year).
- or Celebrate - wider theme than Christmas but incorporating Christmas, New Year, new babies, birthdays, weddings etc
- Mend
- Spring
- Sleep

I really like the Christmas idea!

What about recycling/upcycling? That seems to be big at the moment

A few ideas I've been thinking of;

* Kidzone - either for kids, or made by kids or made with you (or even as a stretch, something on Kidzone on Channel 6 ;))
* 'round-to-it - for that project that keeps being shelved for whatever reason, or that craft that you "one day want to learn" but never quite get to it (this was crochet for me in the last month and I SO wish I'd given it a go sooner as I'm loving it - nothing like TNN to :whip:  )
* Just because - an item for someone else in your life (IRL or online), RAOK style that you've been meaning to do for a while (a "just because" gift, not a new baby or birthday etc, but "just because")

And for September I was going to suggest that one of the theme options be the Waldorf/Steiner Doll sew-a-long

Like the RAOK & spring ideas, though spring might be a little wishful thinking looking at the weather here

I always like 'just because' types of gifts so having that as a theme would be fun :D

 I was going to spell out RAOK - Random act of kindness. And I should have :)

Shall we go with 2 themes this month, or ?

(my personal project list has a few birthday gifts, summer clothing for the kids, a few winter item's I've not finished yet, clothes for me, and stuff for Gingham stall, so pretty much all of those can fit in any category. And I have a few RAOK ideas. Not sure what "new" crafty thing though for me - that's probably the hardest one for me to think of considering I've just learnt crochet which has been on my "must learn" list for years. There are defintely a few WIP items that meet the criteria though.)
