Oh yay, Fi I'm pleased you are going to keep this trucking along, but also totally understand why you might be getting a little disillusioned.
I cant 100% guarantee to see this out till the end, but can say with certainty that at this stage it is my absolute intention to do so. I've still only completed the log cabin block, but have purchased more quilting fabric and just need to find the time and right headspace to catch up.
And another of the lovely Tga TNN'ers has just started 2 sampler quilts, one for her and one for her daughter, and so has done 2 x log cabin blocks and 2 x 9 block pieces which are stunning, so maybe there are also others that havent outed themselves yet :D

I've only just seen the thread. Been thinking you would be busy so didn't want to harrass you for the March block.

I love the look of the turnstile one in particular.

As for the February block, I think I've completed 17 so far. Not many more and I'll have enough to do quilt. I think SIL might have done her quilt rather large though, so need to make sure mine is a similar size, otherwise they'll look odd.

No rush on this Fi as it'll be a few weeks before it matters, but what I'd love to know is how to put it all together at the end. i.e. borders, backing, quilting etc. If you don't want to do this too soon, I'm sure I'll find out how to do it with a google search.

It'll be at least two months before I need to know.

Ok - I've sewn the turnstile blocks up, and I apologise, they are far trickier than I realised!
I've done the tute, but its really not ideal for a beginner.

Give it a whirl if you want to, but I think you should possibly wait until I've done the Ohio Star tutes.....

Well that sounds more like a challenge to me Fi. Think I'm going to have to try it just because you said it was harder than you thought. I was thinking the other one looked harder.

I've done one log cabin, haven't done the Feb bit yet - got the fabric but too scared to cut it up as I don't have an accurate ruler.
LOVING the tutes though, SOOOOOOOOOO helpful, and I AM reading and following, and will catch up soon!

 OK Robyn - there is one in every pack ;)
Its difficult because of the quirky bias cuts and seams, and the matching of points in the middle. If people can pull this off, they should feel pretty confident about any pattern out there ;)

If you have a look at the middle one, the triangles don't meet properly in the middle, and the 4 final pieces didn't go together squarely - so there is an overlap at each cross point.
I'll get onto the Ohio Star today :)
