Finish it February!!

Post by grizle » Sat Jan 28, 2012 9:11 am

Does anyone want to join me in a challenge to finish those ufo's that we have hidden somewhere?

Challenge is to find them all first :hide: , list them here and finally get them finished so we can clear our conscience....

The one catch is the deadline is the end of February.

who's going to join me?

- Curtains for the lounge - 1 DOWN 7 TO GO
- Selena's top - that should be easy - DONE
- Quilt for Selena - let's aim for a block a week.
- Top for me
- Dress for Lucy - done
- Hair accessories for Lucy for school - DONE
- Fix Kapa Haka uniform for Kindy

Even if I could get halfway through the curtains and finish the top I would be pleased.

But before I get started on any of those I need to make some hair accessories for Lucy for school.

Pleased with my progress today. I had to put the curtains aside as I ran out of thread. I then finished a dress for Lucy that has been sitting on the to do pile for at least 6 months. Not as bad as it sounds because when I started it, it looked huge and I was wondering whether it was too bulky. Decided to wait for a few months and see how it looked when she had grown, and I'm now mostly happy with the overall look.

Also finished Selena's knitted top which only involved sewing the ends in, but that's been sitting like that for a few weeks. So both girls have gone across to the neighbours to brag about their new clothes.

While they were over there I finished skeining a massive skein of yarn that I had stopped half way through because it was such a mission and I'd run out of time. It was one I couldn't do on the wool winder and was tangled and quite tedious.

Then did a wee bit of tidying and found some more thread for my curtains, so now that can be all go again. \:D/ Very happy about that.

christmas stocking
2 partly knitted dishcloths
2 pillowslips

have way more unfinished things but those ones need doing and my sewing machine has packed up and my coverseamer needs a new needle - so no point listing any sewing!
