I actually think the commercial member limit should be raised, to 1/3rd perhaps. 25% is hard in such a small number.
Good thinking
'cause that fits in nicely for 9,12 and 15

Being a society rule it would have to jump through the hoops to change it... the only other factor that works well is 2, and look how hard it is to form a board now 8-[

What software is used and approx how much time does it take each week?

Excel & Word ;)

Takes me about 30-45mins per month at the moment. (PAYE)

But we have done no budgets or anything. I don't know what the (new) board wants to do with the role.

Currently it is doing the basic functions that need to be done.
Who does the payroll stuff?

Yes - a change in rule is a total pita.. it was a lot of work last time.

I am not sure that Kate/the nappy lady is still keen as she hasnt contacted me at all. Without Kate it's only two commercial members so it is fine.

The payroll work is done by the treasurer. That's the 30-45mins that Posh referred to.

She said that was PAYE, payroll is different :).

Whoops, I meant PAYE *and* payroll stuff combined.

But yeah, both only take me about 45mins now

Kate's happy to do parent education as long as we are ok with the fact she owns the information she supplies as "The Nappy Lady"

I would rather we used our own info that we as a society own, so that we don't have to start from scratch again next year etc

If someone's got info she can give out she's willing to do that, but all the info she has right now she's written that's all.

Chair: Karmiec/ Lisa
Treasurer: Amethyst/Paula (commercial)
Secretary: Dunners/Leanne

Other board (min 3, max 12)
Katriana/Carolyn (commercial)
Stacey
The Nappy Lady/Kate (commercial)
Kaz/Karen
Laura
Callum’s godmother /Helen
Happi

OK.. is this the final nominations list?
I haven't heard from Kate/TheNappyLady - if she is still interested then we need to have another 2 non commercial volunteers to form a board.
Do you know her contact details Paula? Can you please ask her to come and confirm if she wants to be on the board or not.

I'm a bit surprised that she hasn't bothered to come and introduce herself and post here already. :?

for the numbers, it would work best if she didn't join the board, otherwise, either you or Carolyn will have to bow out. which way do you prefer to do it?
