Time to get thinking about what we want to do, if anything. Marsha from Nappyline is running a series of info mornings around the city, so something different may be a good idea.

I was thinking that it would be great to hold a Teddy Bears Picnic type event. Get a few stalls together selling stuff and a few more nappy ones. Have a bouncy castle and games for the kids, maybe a fire engine. Possibly not enough time to organise for this year as I'd imagine you'd need some kind of council approval to use a park and heaps of advertising. I think having an event which isn't strictly 'nappy' focused, but gets families coming along and then introduced to cloth is going to work better.

Any other ideas, thoughts, volunteers .....

How is everyone doing?

To be honest I'm not sure if I can face organising anything for RNW. I'm exhausted and emotionally drained. I don't know if it's the sort of thing that would be a distraction or if it would add to the stress

How does everyone else feel about this? I'm happy for someone to give me a kick up the pants and tell me to get over it :whip:

Guess I'm having a :twitch: day

:whip: Time to put your hands up

Nice to meet Marie today and since no one else turned up we decided a sewing day was in order.

Soooooo, who can help? :whip: :whip:

I was thinking during the weekend. Afternoon of the 16/17th October preferences?

South Library as the facilities were good last time.

-bring along your own machines and something to share for afternoon tea.
-Bring your own fabric etc
-Have kits available to purchase if people want to try before buying heaps of stuff
-Who can bring a snap press?
-Tea/coffee, should we have the urn in the room or get people to buy their own at the cafe?
-Moving baby free? (I think this is preferable due to potential hazards)
-Where do we advertise?

Anything that I have missed?

what things will I need to make a nappy? I have minky, pul, snap press. snaps coming.
moving baby free sounds good!
advertise... fb, twitter, tnn, family websites if allowed. get fliers made and put in supermarkets? mall notice boards, baby change rooms, advertise on tm or buy sell exchange if allowed. libraries?
