Big Latch On!

Heyyyyyyyy there breastfeeding mamas,

The Big Latch On is now only one week away (August 6th at 10.30am) and we now have 117 venues registered from all over Aotearoa.



However there are still some areas not represented like the North Shore of Auckland…! *ahem* It is not too late to register a venue and don’t forget you can hold a Big Latch On event anywhere: your house, your office, a local café, a park, a car, or even a plane! Anywhere as long as it is in NZ and you have two non participating witnesses.

So... register away!! Or track down a local venue and make a plan to be there! Of course we are wanting to break the record again Canada has apparently picked up on the success of the Big Latch On here and is attempting to beat the NZ record, damn them. Nothing like a bit of competition though! heh

Slingbabies is having Big Latch On at our Normal Slingbabies meeting next week [I know lots of North Shore Gals will come to that]

We have a new venue this year in Lower Hutt. It's at Kokiri Marae, 7-9 Barnes St, Seaview. Our previous venue in central Hutt is now used for a playgroup on Fridays.

If you have seen in the Hutt News the article that says "please contact Jo for catering" or something like that, please DON'T contact me for catering!! Don't know where that came from - I have enough trouble catering for my own family. However, we are providing a morning tea at the Latch On!

I'm planning on going in Blenheim, will practise with J this week tho as he doesn't usually during the day (and he's been saying no when I offer milk) and knowing my luck will repeat Kyan's Big Latch On performance at 9mths and be the only baby NOT latched
