Itti Bitti Boos

Has anyone had any experience with using Itti Bitti Boos on a newborn? How does the small fit on a little baby? What about containment? Also, is the bamboo fabric worth the extra drying time?

Any thoughts appreciated!

oooohh me - i loved my itti bitt boo on eden as a newborn. looked good, great containment, very absorbent. quite small fitting, lucky eden was small. if i remember the insert snapped in so the drying time wasnt really an issue.

Hmmm, I'm expecting a 9lb-er . . . . how long did it fit Eden for, do you remember?

umm not sure. i know i brought it from karyn at the RNW expo thing and i think she wore it for about 4/5 months. she was almost 9pd when born so not tiny but she was skinny with it..no chubby babies from me for some reason...

Oh, that's OK then. Mine have chubby legs but even still I'd be happy to get 8wks out of it

Thought I'd pop up a review of the itii bitti boo we got in the facebook giveaway

I'm really loving it! I haven't tried it overnight yet, but I think with a bamboo mini-booster, or maybe 2, we could use it overnight too. Its super soft, really gorgeous colour, the shape and fit are just like my d'lish. The Large is a perfect fit on DS at 16months and around 9.5kg. Teamed with my fave thirsties covers I've had it easily last 5 hours, and also contain a rather nasty upset tummy poo.

I bought Lauren's ones when she was around 8 weeks old (about 5kg), I bought the medium and she is still in them now on the tightest setting. Didn't find them bulky - fitted great and have never had any leaks overnight.

Ours has arrived! Meg was a bit unsettled last night as she has a cold and kept waking. I did change her at about 9pm as I thought she might have pooped.The outside was obviously dry, she had been in it since 6pm. So put a fresh one on with a Karma Kidz pull up pants over the top and this morning the front of the nappy is still dry! Gorgeous trim nappys, not bulky at all. Love the fit. But most of all I love the trimness of it, no more bulky night nappies!

These nappies are seriously awesome!!! Lily had one on overnight last night, I boosted it with a bamboo and microfibre mini booster and the nappy was still dry at the back, right up the front and around the sides, I think I could get away with not boosting it at all, and it's still not at full absorbancy yet

I agree with what has been said so far We won one of the new style ones about 6 months ago and we luuuurve it! If i didn't have so many nappies i would buy more of these for night nappies I love that the body of the nappy is only thin and with all the bits unsnapping to be washed it does get a much more thorough wash then my all-in-one fitted night naps so it's the only one that doesn't EVER have smell issues. The bamboo is super absorbent and as everyone has said they are just so trim! and not to mention they look so cute and i find they fit my wee girl perfectly when other itti bittis don't fit well (she has chubby thighs).

Itti Bitti should make a side snapping minky cover to go over them

Well I tried my new bitti boo on my 4 month old boy this morning, with a bummis whisper wrap as the cover. It looked beautiful, so nice and trim. I'm sad to say though it leaked after 2 hours - saturated his singlet. I might get a bit longer with a pair of bummis whisper pants (my most reliable cover) but probably only a little longer. The nappy was absolutely saturated and I had boosted it to the hilt. Oh well, I was probably being a bit ambitious - he is a VERY heavy wetter and being such a trim nappy, there was probably nowhere else for the pee to go. But I will still use it though - it's just so trim and stylish, perfect for jeans. And if I use the whisper pants and change after 2 hours, then I think I can make it work.

Just remember bamboo takes a few washes to become real absorbant

They were second-hand though - definitely had plenty of washes so I don't think that's the issue. And I stripped washed them when they arrived just in case they had any detergent build up. No, I think there's just not enough nappy for my mega pee'er. But they are beautiful!
